About Me
ART DIRECTOR, DESIGNER, WRITER, DEVELOPER, PHOTOGRAPHER
Started in 1980 at Doner Advertising in Baltimore as an Art Director working on Carling National Brewery, McCormick Spices, and New Products, The National Guard and the US Dept. of Transportation
1985 I moved to RPA/Los Angeles as Associate Creative Director and co-managed the San Diego office overseeing all marketing responsibilities and a 10+ person staff for HomeFed Bank, regional McDonalds, the Chargers (NFL), and American Honda (Brand and National Dealer Associations) in Los Angeles.
In 1991 I joined Bozell Advertising in Southfield, MI as Executive Art Director, managing creative director on all Chrysler & Jeep national and regional retail advertising. I supervised a 26-person staff and routinely created, supervised, and produced event, brand, and feature commercials. This involved creative development, pre-production, shooting supervision, and post-production, always within demanding time constraints. I stayed with the Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge business as the accounts merged through several ad agencies to be combined at BBDO in Troy, MI.
I left BBDO in 2008 as the automotive business in Detroit drastically downsized. With new energy and enthusiasm I have been pursuing new media directions in web strategy and design. I am skilled in WordPress, SEO applications, social media creative marketing, studio and product photography, digital design, and illustration. I bring a depth of successful advertising experience to analyze, define, brand, and bring your products or services to market.

“That’s been one of my mantras — focus and simplicity.
Simple can be harder than complex;
you have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple.”
“I think if you do something and it turns out pretty good,
then you should go do something else wonderful,
not dwell on it for too long. Just figure out what’s next.”
